Privacy policy

1. What the app stores

Sourire saves the following in its private storage area on your device:

• the text of your memories, their date, category and decor;
• the photos you attach to a memory, copied into the app's private folder;
• your settings: language, theme, notification frequency, badge progress.

None of it is sent to anyone. It does not leave the device unless you choose to share a memory.

2. What the app does not do

• no account, no sign-up, no email address requested;
• nothing sent to a server, no cloud synchronisation;
• no advertising, no tracker, no analytics;
• nothing written to your phone's photo gallery;
• no data sold or passed on to third parties, for the simple reason that none is collected.

3. Permissions

Photos. Only when you choose to add an image to a memory. The app then accesses the photo you select, not your library.

Notifications. Optional. They are generated locally by the device, at the frequency you set; no notification server is involved.

4. Sharing a memory

When you share a memory, the app hands it to your phone's share sheet and you choose the destination app. From that moment the shared content falls under that app's privacy policy, not this one. No sharing happens automatically.

5. Buying Premium

The purchase is handled by Apple's App Store or by Google Play, depending on your device. Payment details are entered there and never pass through the app. MxS Studio receives neither your card number, nor your address, nor your identity: only aggregated sales reports. Those data are covered by the privacy policies of Apple and Google.

6. Retention and deletion

Your memories stay on the device for as long as you keep them. You can delete any of them from the history at any time. Uninstalling the app erases everything it stored. Since nothing is kept anywhere else, that deletion is final: if your memories matter to you, keep your phone backup in mind.

7. Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability over your personal data. Here those rights are exercised directly in the app, since you alone hold the data: MxS Studio keeps no copy and therefore cannot read it, return it, or delete it on your behalf. 8. Children

Sourire is not directed at children, and collects no data whatever the age of the person using it.

9. Changes

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new version date. A change with a real effect on your data would also be announced inside the app.
